| Aeschylus Avery |
Aeschylus is intelligent, willful, and believes everyone around him to be imbeciles until proven otherwise. He is impressed rather than jealous of people who do things he can't and tends to gravitate towards them. Intensely curious and will break rules to satisfy that curiosity. Thrives upon being challenged. Strangely and surprisingly adept with animals. His loyalty is hard to earn and must be maintained. Likes to be secretive, but not very good at it. |

Gia Eggleston
|
Sixteen-year-old fourth year with a heart of gold - she's pretty, she's nice, she's moderately intelligent, and she has two family ghosts who won't hesitate to tell you exactly what they think of you, usually to everyone's mortification but theirs. She's a great friend to have, if you don't mind eavesdroppers and busybodies who rarely leave her side.

Marion Quirke
|
If she doesn't scare you to death, it might be because you're hiding behind her. Marion's one of the toughest girls in school, and she will make sure you know it if you dare pick on any of the smaller kids. Or the bigger kids who don't know how to defend themselves. Bullies fear her... and honestly, so do at least a few of the people she stands up for. She has a crow for a familiar, that's just not normal. Really, she's nice, cheerful, confident, and energetic as long as you aren't pissing her off.
She's pretty open about her intentions to shoot for the stars and try to qualify as an Auror or Hitwizard - if she can get the marks for it. Might as well channel that defender mentality into a profession, right? This ambition is frequently regarded as delusional at best, but Marion has yet to care.

| Ceridwen Gruffud |
A fifteen year old Welsh farm girl from Swansea, Ceridwen's more comfortable around animals as opposed to people. Growing up on a sheep farm, she found her friends in books and playing chess with her father. She tends to shy away from other people and is a bit reluctant to let people close to her. Reads books avidly and sometimes wishes her life was more like a fairy tale. |
| William Mallory |
A bit of a lazy delinquent, William enjoys playing pranks and being a bit of a bully, as long as it doesn't require too much effort. His teachers always told him he's full of potential if he'd only apply himself. However, coming from a well to do family, William doesn't see the need to apply himself. |
| Alistair Canard |
Alistair is a pureblood wizard, all the other children in his family went to Hogwart's, but his Tourettes made it inadvisable (according to his parents) for him to attend. His Tourettes is mostly under control unless he’s stressed for frightened. He's a friendly sort with other kids and tends to watch out for those getting picked on. Has a bit of a temper about his own issues, but it's getting better. Never goes anywhere without his dog, Fittzgig. |
| Asklepiades Stafford |
Asklepiades Stafford (call him Staff, it's easier for everyone) wants to be a Healer - that's why he's at Pumwicket at all. He'd already sat his OWLs before the school opened, but to be a Healer you need NEWTs, and he's convinced a 'real school' will help with that. Staff got a lot of practical experience in Pumwicket's first year, so he's a known friendly face around the school. Especially if you're injured and willing to let him 'practice' on you. |

Neoptolemus "Whit"
Whitney
|
Raised in a religious cult that worshipped his older brother as the savior of mankind, Whit and his younger siblings were released into their uncle's care three years ago, following the death of their parents. Finding it difficult to mesh the world of his parents and the world of...everyone else, Whit has difficulty fitting in. He was raised in an environment that encouraged disobeying authority, making it difficult for Whit to follow rules. Nevertheless, he is very friendly, energetic, and open, often a bit overly so. He is still learning the social and cultural cues that were not present in his early childhood.
|
| Laurentia "Ren" Skeoch |
A new student to Pumwicket this year, she has little experience with magic, despite being old enough to be a fifth year student. She doesn't speak, much, because of the trauma from an accident that killed off the rest of her immediate family. |
House Hopkirk
|
Character Name
|
Hook
|
|
Aster Fletcher
|
Aster is kind, but somewhat shy. Shy, but not meek. He's decisive and intelligent, just not particularly outgoing when it comes to new people (though he tries!), and it takes a little work to draw him out of his shell. Because of this, he can come across as aloof, and he works hard not to project that image, but not always with success. He can be stubborn, but less so with friends, and if he's pushed too far, he'll fight back

|
Jude MacCodrum
|
Jude's an Orkney boy, boy and bred. He grew up on Papa Westray, a tiny island where he knew everyone from the time he could walk. He grew up up to his knees in the ocean and the stolen child in his ears. He loves the history and the magic of the place. Not the proper magic like his father, but the older kind of magic that even muggles can feel. He's going back as soon as he's finished school. The fact that he was raised on a Tiny Tiny Island shows in his social skills- or, more properly- lack thereof. But he tries.

| Miles Simms |
Miles is Encyclopedia Brown meets Merlin. He's a born and bred Londoner, a more than sharp schoolboy who wanted to be the next great Sherlock Holmes. Now however, he finds himself forced into 'magical-fairy dust flim flam' school, where he apparently needs to train to be the next great Harry Potter instead.
|
| Taegan Pocklington |
Want to make a bet? Talk to Taegan. Even if you don't want to make a bet, talking to him's not a bad idea. If anyone knows all the latest news/rumors/speculation, he does - what are the odds that someone'll blow a hole in the wall of the Charms room, or that that firstie will be crying nonstop by the end of the week? He keeps up to date with it all - as much as anyone can, anyway - and then turns it into odds and takes bets. He's an honest guy, though, for a given value of honest; if what you're looking for involves cheating... get lost and stay lost. |
| Sarah Edridge |
Sportster who will neglect everything -- study, food, sleep -- for the next big game. Loves playing, watching, everything, and is shameless about her tomboyness. |
| Peggy Prewett |
Can a Squib make a place for herself in a wizarding school?
Though she is young, Peggy isn't stupid. She knows she'll be teased and picked on. But she also knows more than most about the Muggle world; the wizarding world has spies and agents there, and if a Squib agent plays her cards right... who knows? The Minister of Magic needs a foot in both worlds.
Peggy's pretty sure she's mentally tough enough to get through school. Magic isn't the only trick in the book! |
| Donovan Lowell |
Donovan has fully embraced the role of an orphan that life has handed him. Even though he acts as if he has never known his family, the older he becomes, the more he resembles the father that abandoned him. Striking out on his own path, he is trying to make a new life for himself and hopefully learn a way to rid himself of the curse that is keeping him from a normal life. |
| Iphigenia Marchel |
Iphigenia suffers from extreme foot-in-mouth disease. The youngest of six – not all of them belonging to the same parents she was raised by – she’s learned that being loud is the only way to be heard; unfortunately, this usually means she says exactly what she’s thinking at the time she’s thinking it, with no regard to whom she’s speaking to, or who’s around to listen. She also tends not to remember when she’s said something wrong or unkind; she’s just kind of spacey that way. |
